David was brought up in his infancy in the political economy of Ben Chifley by his late father. At the University of Adelaide he studied Australian and Keynesian political economy under Bruce McFarlane. He is a student of Marx’s Capital and an admirer of Modern Monetary Theory.
From his youth, which was spent in Tasmania, he has been a green socialist. He is presently Convenor of Friends of the Earth Adelaide, and an Adjunct Research Fellow in the Flinders University College of Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences.
Dr Faber is a regular speaker at events organised by groups such as the Anti-Poverty Network and the Australian Unemployed Workers’ Union.
