Professor Warren Mosler is the economist who is widely regarded as the initial developer of modern monetary theory (MMT), and he remains one of its leading voices. He is a visiting professor at the University of Bergamo, in Italy. Warren is the author of two highly significant innovative books on economic theory and policy- Soft Currency Economics (1996) and The Seven Deadly Innocent Frauds of Economic Policy (2010). He is attributed with creating Mosler’s law, which states that “there is no financial crisis so deep that a sufficiently large fiscal adjustment cannot deal with it.”
A finance professional, politician and entrepreneur, Warren has spent the past 40 years gaining an insider’s knowledge of monetary operations. In addition to his work in the field of economics, he developed – and later sold – his own automobile line, Mosler Automotive, responsible for producing the Mosler MT900 and the Consulier GTP. He also designed his own catamaran that is lighter, faster, and more fuel-efficient than other models.
Please note that Warren will not be in Adelaide during the conference, but will record an interview especially for the conference
